This bed and breakfast was lovely. The accommodations were so comfortable and had everything we needed. The owners were so hospitable and the breakfast was amazing. We will be back at Christmas and definitely stay here again. Great experience

My husband and I spent three great nights in the guest house of The Aerie. It’s a perfect location for enjoying downtown New Bern. While it’s within walking distance to everything, it’s also very quiet. We really ended the Caleb Bradshaw room. It’s obviously been updated fairly recently and is gorgeous and comfortable. We enjoyed talking with John and Beth at breakfast each morning, which was delicious and filling. The inn was beautifully decorated for Christmas. We’d love to stay at The Aerie on our next trip to New Bern!

For our wedding night my husband booked a night at the Aerie. We stayed in the Hidden Room! Beautiful room, with a great jacuzzi tub and a comfortable bed. John made us an incredible savory oatmeal for breakfast as we are Gf, DF, and avoid eggs too! Did I say this was amazing!!! The coffee was fantastic! We enjoyed our stay and will recommend when friends visit to stay there! I think we might schedule a night away there when we needed to get away even though it is in our town!

Don’t hesitate to stay here! Such a picturesque bed and breakfast. The owner John was beyond friendly and accommodating. He was happy to make it feel just like home. The rooms were charming, comfortable, spotless, and guaranteed good nights rest. I stayed in the Wooten room and it was perfect for one traveler. Not only was the atmosphere and service wonderful, the food was INCREDIBLE. John is a hell of a cook and makes the best scrambled eggs I’ve ever tasted with his secret ingredient! I also have a gluten allergy and he went above and beyond to provide! Freshly baked waffles with strawberries and syrup one morning, and a DECADENT cinnamon coffee cake….even packed me a piece to hit the road with! Coffee was also perfectly brewed which is a must for this caffeine addict. Book! Book! Book! Cannot wait for my return trip to new bern! Thank you John!

Absolutely amazing place to stay when visiting New Bern. The location is walkable to several breweries and restaurants. I stayed in the hidden room which was super cozy and comfortable. Thoughtful owners that make sure that your stay is perfect. Highly recommend.

We chose the Aerie for our weekend getaway for just my wife and I. The home was very nice. The room was very comfortable. The owners were very friendly and provided easy conversation. The location was perfect. Easy walking to restaurants, shopping and attractions. Parking is convenient and private. Breakfast was extraordinary and the staff very pleasant. We will definitely be staying here again on our next trip to New Bern.

We stayed in the Guest House this visit and enjoyed walking to every thing. The room is clean, with luxury linens, and Kathy is such a wonderful Hostess. Aerie is my home away from home whenever I think about a getaway. They go to great lengths for guest comfort! I have a rare food allergy that is taken seriously every time I visit. New Bern is a wonderful area to visit any time of the year.

This was a wonderful property with a great historical feel. I was not familiar with New Bern before and I would love to go back to learn more about its history. I would definitely stay at this place again. The host took us on a personal tour of the property and explained the amenities and answered questions. The bed was comfortable and the bath was modern. Our room was one of the smaller ones, but it was very comfortable. Breakfast was especially delicious.

This place is wonderful and John does an awesome job. It felt like home away from home as someone who travels for work a lot. Finished with the hotels in New Bern and will be staying here. The architecture and close proximity to downtown New Bern makes this a "Must Stay". The owners have worked hard on this B&B, and it shows.
